I’m Rich Yang — strategist turned environmental advocate, and now sailor on a mission.

After a career in strategy consulting, I transitioned into environmental restoration, working with nonprofits like WWF to protect fragile ecosystems and empower local communities. My work has focused on community-based agriculture, regenerative land use, and sustainable development — helping build resilient food systems while restoring the natural environment from the ground up.

Now, I’m taking that commitment to the next level. I’ve joined Team UNICEF in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race — a global sailing adventure with a deeper purpose. I’m dedicating a year of my life to this journey, volunteering my time to raise awareness and support for youth outdoor engagement, environmental education, and ocean conservation.

This journey isn’t just mine — it’s a shared story. One that combines personal challenge, environmental advocacy, and the belief that bold adventure can inspire meaningful change.
